Stuck on a Guitar Color? Try Pink
If you’re ever stuck on a color when custom ordering a guitar—think pink. As a color? That’s right. “Pink is the new black,” says
Tom Anderson, president of Tom Anderson Guitarworks, one of Golden Age Guitars high end guitar manufacturers. “In the last six months, we’ve made more pink guitars than in the last 20 years." And these pink guitars have all been ordered by men, according to Tom. “Colors in general are a fashion statement, the color has nothing to do with the sound or how the guitar plays.”
The pink color trend was also echoed by Lance Lerman, president of LSL Guitars, another premium maker Golden Age Guitars represents. “It seems to be, a little bit, yeah,” according to Lance, especially in Asia. LSL just made six pink Satacoy models. Lance pointed to the country music star Chase Bryant, who had LSL make him a custom pink Bad Boy telecaster which he plays in the following link.
Golden Age Guitars owner John Reynolds, who has sold and ordered pink guitars before the color was hip, reports that he’s ordered a sold pink LSL Bad Boy Telecaster and a Tom Anderson pink T icon telecaster, both of which will arrive in the store in the coming months as well as a few more.
